Touched — A Dark Urban Fantasy

A Dark Urban Fantasy

For aeons ancient entities have lived among us, vicariously through us. They are the inspiration for our myths of angels and demons, spirits and demigods, heroes and villains. But they only exist by reincarnating inside the bodies of ordinary mortals, sharing our experiences, our hopes, our dreams, and our nightmares.

Alex Tyler is one such mortalat the verge of death he chooses healing in exchange for sharing his life with one such reincarnator, the Red Lady. But this new life comes with a price: Alex comes to discover that he has been invited into a secret, supernatural world, embroiled with conflict. For the Red Lady’s people are at war with another tribe of demon entities, who take without asking, destroy human lives, and embody all the worst in the human psyche.

Touched, a dark urban fantasy, builds upon the same burgeoning interest found in such bestselling books as the Anita Blake series and The Dresden Files, in classic TV series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Twin Peaks, more contemporary series such as Moonlight and Saving Grace.

Laced with adventure and mystery, at heart Touched is ultimately intended to be a series about characters: telling stories that address specific themes of life, such as grief and joy, sacrifice and redemption, reincarnation and immortality, symbiosis and coexistence.

Touched showcases the remarkable city of San Francisco, set betwixt the tech wizards of web, the grunge musicians south of Market Street, and the diverse urban melting pot of ethnicity and exotic life styles.
